Police are holding six suspects who were captured for purportedly taking 200 iPhones in the Office of the Deputy President.
The suspects among them a lady distinguished as Winfred Mukikinya were caught on Thursday subsequent to coordinating an arrangement that prompted the disappearing of the phones worth around Sh30 Million.
As indicated by police, Ms Mukikinya who is the key suspect drew closer an organization known as Capital Airtime Limited, which is owned by a senior government authority, and implied to have been approved to lead business for the benefit of the legislature.
The suspect is said to have persuaded Capital Airtime to supply her with 200 pcs of iPhone 6 Plus claiming they were meant for delegates attending the recently concluded TICAD conference.
As indicated by a NTV news, two weeks before initiation of the TICAD summit, Ms Mukikinya and the supplier went to the deputy president's office where they were shown the Local Purchasing Order (LPO).
